Charlotte S. Sanborn-Gerber

Sanborn-Gerber-- Charlotte S., 97, of Laurel View Village, formerly of Richland Township, passed away on October 2, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on August 7, 1924 in Windber, PA, daughter of George B. and Laura D. (Lehman) Miller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Carl H. Sanborn; 2nd husband, Ralph L. Gerber; an infant brother, Elwood and these brothers and sisters, Foster, Dorothy Chicarell, Evelyn Brunberg, Martin, Josephine Bosco, Ernest, Daisie Klemstine, Virginia Volponi, Herbert, Glendon, and Robert. She is survived by her loving children, Michael T. married to the former Linda McClure, DesMoines, Iowa, Carl B. married to the former Nora Mae Eason, Elizabeth City, NC, Laura S. wife of Michael South, Surprise, AZ, and Donna L. wife of David Hersh, Richland Township; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Opal Patterson, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte was a 1942 graduate of Adams Township High School. She was an active member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren for over 50 years, and a current member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. At Charlotte’s request there will be no public viewing. Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the immediate family. Private interment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family would like to thank Laurel View Village and Conemaugh Palliative Care for their support and care of our mom. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 258 Mount Hope Road, South Fork, PA 15956 in memory of Charlotte.
