Leventry, Charles W., “Chuck”, 91, of Elton. Died April 14, 2019, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born June 20, 1927, in Johnstown. Son of the late Wilbur and Irene (Saylor) Leventry. Also preceded in death by daughter, Debbie Allison; and sister Louise Sheehan. Survived by wife of 68 years, Joan M. (Lewis); Children, Timothy C. (Ruth) Leventry, Mark W. (Kim) Leventry, Daniel J. (Marsha) Leventry; son in law, Bruce W. Allison; Grandchildren, Scott W. (Marcy) Allison, Jennifer J. (Mark) Beatty, Lea D. (Matt) Kleespies, Jerad K. Leventry, Amy L. (Neal) Diehl, Lisa A. (Shane) Dragan, Charles M. (Elise) Leventry, Brogan L. (Thomas) Hunter, Alexis N. Leventry, Madison J. Leventry, Maximus J. Leventry, Harper M. Leventry; Great Children, Connor & Keely Beatty, Piper & Isla Allison, Luke & Benjamin Kleespies, George Diehl, Grant & Dallas Dragan (Twins);  Graduated from Adams Township High School. Served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Roosevelt CV. Former owner of the Leventry’s Grocery Store in Elton, Pa. Retired after 37 years from New York Life Insurance Company. Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Chairman’s Council. Earned his Chartered Life Underwriter Certificate (CLU). Lifelong member of the Elton Zion United Methodist Church. Wonderful, husband, father, grandfather, who loved to take his entire family out for ice cream. Can be seen driving around town visiting his friends in his little pickup truck. Dad is the reason we are the men we are today, and will be sorely missed. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Thursday at Elton Zion U.M. Church. Pastor Daryl Penrod. Officiating.  Entombment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. Family suggests donations to Elton Zion United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1089 Mt. Airy Dr. Elton, Pa. 15934 (Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com)
