Charles R. Beam

Beam – Charles R., “Chuck” 90, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2022. Born on August 19, 1932 in Johnstown, son of Richard and Anna (Pechak) Beam. Preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Betty Imars.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Jane (Augustine) Beam; children, Richard W., and Cindy L. Falcone, and her fiancé, David Lamison, all of Johnstown; granddaughter, Carly M. Falcone and her fiancé, TJ Sliva, Columbus, OH; several nieces, nephews, and his buddies, Buster and Fli.

Chuck was a 1951graduate of Ferndale High School. He was employed at Fi-Hoff Concrete and later became partners at Beam and Sherman Masonry. Chuck retired from Overhead Door Company as a manager. He was a member of Grove Avenue United Methodist Church for 67 years, where he served on the board for many years. Chuck had a strong work ethic who always provided for his family.

Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Carol Hickman officiating. Entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to Grove Avenue United Methodist Church, 501 Grove Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902 or to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA15963 in memory of Charles.
