Catherine B. Stoy

STOY—Catherine B., 94, Windber, passed away on October 10, 2025 at Windber Woods. Born Feb. 27, 1931, in Ashville, PA, daughter of Russell J. and Julia C. (Lidwell) Stoy. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Margaret Beiswenger, Dorothy Mansfield, Marie Geisel, Janet Stoy, Judie Engbert, Bonnie Stoy and Regina Nosal; brothers, Donnie Ray, Roger Stoy and Russ Stoy. Survived by sister, Jackie Fetchko and sisters-in-law, Joanne Stoy (Roger) and Mary Jo Stoy (Russ); also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Catherine started her working career at Penn Traffic and then she worked at Kline’s and finished her working career at Bestform Foundations in Windber, from which she retired to take care of her aging parents. She was a very devout Catholic, saying the Rosary daily and when she was not able to attend Mass she watched it every day at 7 p.m. on EWTN. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY, October 12, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. TUESDAY, October 14, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Father Larry Lacovic officiating.
