LEHMAN -- Catherine Darlene “Dee," 84, formerly of Johnstown, Pa., passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg. She was born in Johnstown February 25, 1935, daughter of Leonard and Catherine Emeigh, who preceded her in death in 2001 and 2008, respectively. October 18, 1958, she married Donald Lee Lehman at the Moxham Church of the Brethren in Johnstown. She is survived by Don, her loving and devoted husband of 60 years. Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lehman and Joseph Ricci of Mechanicsburg; her sister Linda Lee Cravotta (Warren) of Duncansville; a niece, Julie White (Eric) of Warriors Mark and their children, Ethan, Becca and Austin; nephews Harry Lehman III (Maria) and Timothy Lehman (Jenn). Dee was a proud member of the Class of 1953 at Ferndale High School. Following graduation, she worked at Johnstown Bank and Trust. She was a church organist and choir director at the Moxham Christian Church and then at the Belmont United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She was a member of the gospel group, the Shining Lights during the 1970s. She had also been a member of the Richland Band Boosters and a youth leader at the Moxham Church of the Brethren. Dee loved to cook, and with Don prepared many meals at their churches and often shared dishes and soups with neighbors and friends. Dee enjoyed her home in Johnstown and enjoyed decorating and collecting, including nativity scenes and angels. She loved music, often singing, playing the piano and organ. She dearly loved animals, especially cats. Her beloved cat, Chessie, was with her until the very end. There will be no viewing at the request of the deceased. Inurnment, Richland Cemetery. A memorial service for Dee will be held Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at the Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren St., Johnstown, PA 15904. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Drive Extension, Johnstown, PA 15904. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
