Catherine Kinzey

KINZEY---Catherine, age 91, of Richland Township, formerly of Ehrenfeld, PA went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2021, at Laurel View Village, in Davidsville, PA. Catherine was born on October 17, 1929, in Amsbry, PA, daughter of Fred and Hattie (Hill) Nileski. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Kinzey; her brother-in-law, Robert George, Sr.; her nephew, Robert George, Jr.; and her niece, Kimberly George. Catherine is survived by her sister, Florence George of Beaver, PA, and her niece, Heidi George of Pittsburgh, PA; her son, Marlin Kinzey, Jr. and his wife, Anne (Stalinski) Kinzey of New York, NY, and their children, Jacob Kinzey of New York, NY, and Julia Kinzey of Chicago, IL; devoted cousin, Peggy Cann of Ehrenfeld, PA; devoted nephew, Hank Kinzey and his wife, Cathy Kinzey, of Rochester Hills, MI; and devoted nephew, Douglas Madigan, of Chicago, IL. Catherine is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Catherine is a 1946 graduate of the South Fork, PA High School, where she was valedictorian. She started her career at Alwine Moving & Storage Company in Johnstown, PA as an executive assistant. She was later employed by Bi-Lo Supermarket, and she retired as an expert cake decorator in the bakery department. Catherine was a long-time, faithful member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Richland, where she was active in the Lutheran Church Women’s organization. The family suggests any donations be made to the Laurel View Village Caring Fund in memory of Catherine Kinzey, (2000 Cambridge Drive, Davidsville, PA, 15928). The funeral and burial will be private with Pastor Scott Klimke officiating. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Just sending my sympathy to the family I took care of Catherine for several years and was glad I got to know we shared many jokes together she will be missed
