Carrie E. Meier

Meier, Carrie E., 88, of Adams Township, passed away on December 15, 2011 at Arbutus Park Manor. She was born August 27, 1923 in Johnstown. Daughter of Sanford and Esther (Miller) Noon. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Harry; sister-in-law, Evelyn Noon and a brother-in-law, John Custer. Survived by loving daughter, Leona G. wife of Kenneth Paul, Richland Township; grandchildren, Tammy Y. wife of Mark Young, Salix and Wayne B. and his fiancée, Karen Novitsky, Richland Township; great grandchildren, Scott Yeager and his fiancée, Nicole Mathis, Tyler and Alex Paul; great-great grandson, Von Yeager; siblings, Clarence “Tom” , Adams Township and Betty Ruth Custer, Buffalo Mills, PA; sister-in-law, Agnes Noon, South Fork and several nieces and nephews. Carrie loved dancing, and never ending baking for family and friends. Hook, line and sinker - passion for fishing from PA to Canada. She enjoyed her pets and being outdoors. Carrie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Friends received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday and one hour prior to service at 10 A.M. on Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland with the Pastor Ray Streets officiating. Entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to Arbutus Park Manor Cross Roads Unit, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Carrie.
