Carol Elaine Schneck

Schneck – Carol Elaine, 74, Geistown, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on January 3, 2021 at her home. Born on December 29, 1946 in Johnstown, daughter of Ervin L. Sr. and Hazel L. (Giffin) Bloom. Preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Ralph E. Schneck, Sr. and Dorothy (Werner) Schneck. Siblings; Oliver Bloom, Alma (Harry) Seese, June (Donald) Seese, Ervin “Bud” (Lois) Bloom Jr., Leora Jean (Emil) Simanski, brother-in-law Arthur Nagle and 1 niece and 2 nephews. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ralph E. Schneck, Jr. Also survived by siblings, Merna Nagle, Kenneth (Eileen) Bloom Sr., Ernest (Kathy) Bloom; Aunt, Elizabeth “Betty” Smith, and cousins Timothy (Karen) Smith and Richard (Cindy) Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also survived by many close friends, especially the “Breakfast Club”. Graduate of Richland High School; Life member of Dunmyer Lutheran Church, Elton, PA. Retired from United Metal Fabricators after 44 years of service. Loved traveling with her loving husband in their RV, Reading, Bird watching and feeding her squirrels “Sparky” and “Junior”. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. on Friday at Dunmyer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael A. VanDyke officiating. Interment will be at Dunmyer Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to a charity of one’s choice or to the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Dr Ext, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Carol.
