Betty J. Waters

Waters – Betty J., 100, Elton, went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2024. Born on March 3, 1924 in Akron, OH, daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Venosky) Smith. Preceded in death by her parents; 1^st husband, William A. Daniels, and 2^nd husband, Ervin A. Waters. 

She is survived by her loving children, Janet K. Daniels, Salix, Barbara J. (Robert) Wildner, Shinglehouse, PA, William J. (Paula) Daniels, Salix, and Rick W. (Kim) Daniels, Elton; grandchildren, Jesse (Sarah) Wildner, David Wildner, Cindy (Justin) Kipp, Melissa (Ken) Smith, Michael (Lindsey) Daniels, Katlin (Troy) Bodenschatz, and Eric (Kelsey) Daniels; great grandchildren, Baylen, Michael, Sophie, Isabella, Briawna, Zoey, Chloe, Bristol, Tripp, Audrey, Hudson, Caleb, and Kaydren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Betty was a 1943 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a self-employed home health aide, who cared for many people in the area. Betty was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a proud Gold Star Wife. Betty enjoyed watching old shows while drinking tea, and talking to her friends. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Douglas Knupp officiating. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
