Betty J. Krabal

KRABAL---Betty J., 98, Richland Township, passed away on August 26, 2021. Born November 1, 1922, in Johnstown daughter of Joseph and Rose Janosko. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, John Krabal; brother and sisters, Joseph Janosko, Mary Jacko and Helen Martin. Survived by daughters, Nancy K. Cook (Jamie Powers), Hollidaysburg and Kathy (John) Akers, Richland Township; grandchildren, Nicholas (Carly) Cook, Ryan Akers and Dr. Taylor Akers. Also survived by a special niece, Judie (Fred) Garbinski, Ohio, who never missed an evening call to our mom. Betty worked the election polls at Arbutus Park Manor for many years. She was interested in baking, ceramics, cooking and crocheting and loved going on bus trips to casinos and to see shows. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family especially caring for Ryan, Taylor and Nicholas. She dropped everything to help her family and put them first at all times. Her door was always open at her house to family members and friends who needed her. Her faith was most important to her by attending Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church along with her daily rosary.  At her family’s request, there will be no public viewing or visitation. The family invites you to attend a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David S. Peles, pastor. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum. The family would like to thank all of her caretakers, especially Pam. “Our Mom/Nanny was everything to us. We always had a good time together whether we were playing cards, games or going shopping.
