Hoffman – Betty L., 86, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2020. Born on November 12, 1933 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, daughter of Freeman W. and Mary (Gindlesperger) Blough. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry W. Hoffman; brother, John Blough, and sister-in-law, Janet Blough. She is survived by her loving children, Larry W. (Rhonda), Windber, Pamela D. (Murray) Stossel, Windber, and Karen L. (Ricky) Hogue, Windber; grandchildren, Teressa (Roger) Lowery, Larry (Jolene) Hoffman, Jessica (Jason) Mangold, Ryan (Stacey) Hogue, Jennifer Anderson, and her friend, Joe, and Michael (Katie) Stossel; great grandchildren, Danielle (Jeff) Boleware, Nate Hoffman, Mikayla Hoffman, Peyton and Cody Hogue, Marlie Mangold, Reagan and Ella Hoffman, and Kinsley and Kamdyn Stossel; great-great grandchildren, Hudson Boleware, and Hadley Hoffman; siblings, Reda (Glenn) Thomas, Freeman(MaryAnn) Blough, all of Lititz, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. She was a member of Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, where she held various positions on the church board; and on various bowling leagues. Betty enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her girlfriends. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. At Betty’s request, there will be no public viewing. Due to the current health situation a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Contributions may be directed to Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, Building Fund, 270 Hoffman Ave, Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Betty.
