Betty A. Corson

CORSON—Betty A., 81, Johnstown, died August 28, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born November 18, 1939, in Johnstown daughter of William and Betty (Stambaugh) Rummell. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Joanne Fogle; daughter, Barbara (Corson) Phillips; son, Theodore Corson, grandson, Charles A. Corson and brother-in-law, Bill Corson. Survived by husband of 62 years, George L. Corson Sr., children, George L. Corson Jr., Mike M. Corson, Steve T. Corson, Mark W. Corson and Diane (Craig) Jones. Sister of Virginia (Rummell) Corson. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchilren. Member of Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church, Revloc, where she taught Junior Church for many years. Betty will always be known as the matriarch of her family and she will be missed very much. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, with Pastor Cliff Richey officiating.
