Betsy A. Layton

LAYTON – Betsy A. 88, formerly of Richland. Went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2025 at Concordia at Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born Nov. 8, 1936 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Robert and Freda (Specht) Berkebile. Also preceded in death by sons Gregg and Larry Layton; and sister Deborah Cooper. Survived by children Stacey (Bill) Locher, Westmont, Lori (Scott) Cable, Davidsville, David (Amy) Layton, Lititz; and daughter in law Lisa Layton, Richland. Also survived by beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brother Robert Berkebile. She was a 1954 graduate of Johnstown High School. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Bethlen Home in Ligonier. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane Richland.
