BARKER---Barry, 66 of Ligonier tragically passed away on July 2, 2026.

Barry was the beloved son of Clair and Florence Barker. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Barker; his sons, Sean (Nicole) and Shane (Nikki); his stepson, Ryan; his cherished grandchildren, Griffin and Amelia Barker; and his brother, Rian Barker.

Barry’s greatest joy was his family, his friends, and the home he lovingly built. He took immense pride in every project he undertook, and anyone who knew him knew he was rarely one to sit still for long. Whether he was repairing, building, or lending a helping hand, Barry found purpose in staying busy and helping others.

He dedicated more than 40 years of service to Lodestar Bus Lines, where he became known for his exceptional knowledge, craftsmanship, and genuine passion for the buses he worked on. His work was more than a job—it was something he truly loved.

Barry was also a proud lifetime member of the Richland Fire Department, where he served his community with dedication and formed lifelong friendships. He will be remembered by his fellow firefighters for his commitment, reliability, and camaraderie.

Above all, Barry will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, quick sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. He touched the lives of many, and his kindness, integrity, and quiet strength will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Barry's life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the Richland Fire Hall, 1321 Scalp Ave., Johnstown.
