VARNER---Barbara A. “Barbie,” 91, Geistown, went to her Heavenly home on August 3, 2025. Born December 12, 1933, in Johnstown, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Fombank) Deitke. Preceded in death by parents; husband, E. Don to whom she was married for 65 years; brothers and sisters, Grace, Marion, Charles, Thomas, Ronald, Connie and two infant sisters. Survived by daughters, Debbie Gorzelsky and husband, Bill, Elton; Sherri Kofmehl and husband, Paul, Richland; grandsons, Craig (Sarah) Gorzelsky, Quincy, PA; Brett (Jenn) Gorzelsky, Geistown; Scott (Sarah) Gorzelsky, Pittsburgh; Jason (Megan) Kofmehl, Mechanicsburg, PA; and Jonathan (Kelsey) Kofmehl, Ashburn, VA; great-grandchildren, Luke, Max, Jacob, Macey, Axel, Sawyer and Hudson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barb was a graduate of Richland High School. She retired from the United Mine Workers Administration’s Health & Retirement Fund as a Field Representative. She loved to camp, play cards, bowl and play golf. Barb was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She attended West Hills Community Church. Private Funeral Service at the discretion of the family, Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
