COULTER – Barbara A., “Bobby Ann”, 85 of Richland, went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2024, at Laurel View Village, Davidsville, PA. Born on September 26, 1938 in Johnstown, daughter of Murray F. and Catherine C. (Conrad) Beam. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jean Coulter; daughter, Tammy Sue Cover; siblings, Murray F. Beam II, William “Billy” Beam, Betty Foster, and Shirley Kennedy.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Todd Cover married to the former Gail Workman, Davidsville, Tania Cover, Pittsburgh, Tasha Delaney and partner Drew Rathke, Philadelphia; grandchildren, Courtney (Corey) Hicks, Chelsea (Nate) Weaver, Abby (Jeremy) Updyke, and Paul Zurick Jr.; great grandchildren, Cooper, Coby, Jaden, Lily, and Tommy, and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Church where she led women’s Bible Studies and small groups, providing support and encouragement to those in need while being a devoted prayer warrior. She supported the project to build a new sanctuary at Emmanual and traveled on a mission trip to Jerusalem, two treasured experiences of her faith. Bobby Ann’s faith and family were her main priorities, and she orchestrated countless cherished memories for her loved ones that will last a lifetime. She had a passion for baking, cooking, and entertaining, and those who enjoyed her famous peanut butter fudge, banana cake, and hand-stuffed rigatoni felt her love in every bite.
Bobby Ann was a 1956 graduate of Dale High School, and Cambria Rowe Business College. She was employed at Penn Traffic and for most of her career as an office administrator at Inco Beverage for the cherished Incardona family from where she would retire.
Affectionately known as the “Mayor of Laurel View Village,” she welcomed new residents, volunteered her time, and faithfully visited many residents throughout the community. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the care providers at Laurel View Village, especially Ronelle, Meagan, and April, who cared for Bobby Ann with such love. Bobby Ann dearly loved her family and friends and devoted her life to serving others.
Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, September 20 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Ln, Johnstown, PA and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. September 21 at Emmanuel Church, 425 Luther Rd. Johnstown, PA, with Pastor David Streets and Pastor John Lawley officiating. Private inurnment will be at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be directed to Emmanuel Church in memory of Barbara. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
