Arthur Paul Vivis

Vivis – Arthur Paul, 76, Salix, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on October 10, 2021. Born on July 23, 1945 in Johnstown, son of William E. and Loretta F. (Oconnor) Vivis. Preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alverta M. (Wentz) Vivis; children, Melissa J. (Walter) Miller, Johnstown, Douglass P. Vivis and his fiancée, Michelle Montes, Corpus Christi, TX, Sandra D. (Adam) Fulton, Johnstown; grandchildren, Troy (Meagan) Miller, Casandra and Chad Miller, Kyle (Leona) Vivis, Ireland, Kirsty, and Kelsie Vivis, and Tyler Fulton all of Johnstown; 13 great grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Paul was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Ophthalmic Associates after 35 years of service as an Optician. Paul enjoyed wood working in his shed and camping at Glendale Yearound. He loved spending time with his entire family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, Fr. Francis Balestino. Military rites will be conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
