MACK – Arthur L. “Art" or "Duck,” 94, Davidsville, formerly of Richland, went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2025 at Laurel View Village. Born on May 1, 1931, in Johnstown, he was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve, parents Samuel A. and Mary Catherine (O’Brien) Mack, brother, Walter and sister, Geraldine (Andrew) Singel. He is survived by his son, Scott A. (Kristen) Mack, Oakland, and granddaughters, Kasmira, Solenna, and Sybella; and nephew, Gary (Eileen) Singel. After graduating in 1951 from Richland High School, he served in the US Navy on the USS Shadwell making trips to Thule, Greenland. After his service, he attended California University, earning a teaching degree in Industrial Arts Education. Art retired from Greater Johnstown Middle School after 33 years of teaching wood shop and drafting at Garfield. Art also taught adult evening classes in woodworking and bricklaying at Vo-Tech. He was a member of Oakland Church, where he was active in the trustees and numerous projects through the years. Art also served many years on the board of the Cambria City Mission. Art loved being busy, including DIY projects, golfing, canoeing, camping, fishing, collecting things, and spending time with his family. His family would like to thank all the staff of Laurel View Village and Windber Hospice for their loving care of Art. Friends will be received from 12:30 pm until time of service at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Oakland Church, with the Rev. Jeremy Barkley officiating. Private burial will be at Richland Cemetery. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
