Anna Joan Horner

Horner – Anna J., “Joann”, 86, Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Johnstown, PA went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2026. Born on July 1, 1939 in Windber, PA, daughter of John and Mildred Preuss. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lynn E. Horner; brothers, James Preuss and Bernie Preuss; Tony Nosal, Joseph Nosal and Paul Nosal; daughter-in-law, Katherine Horner.

She is survived by her loving sons, Edward (Diana) Horner, Fort Mill, SC, Robert Horner (Carla Henderson), Jerome, PA, and Dr. Brian (Terry) Horner, Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Horner, Fort Mill, SC, Chase Horner and Megan Horner, both of Fort Myers, FL; sister, Millie Gowaty, North Port, FL; brother, Carl (Gloria) Nunnari, Greer, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joann was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School, and the University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, Fort Mill, SC. Joann was an elementary school teacher at the former St. Marys Catholic School. She later was a partner in Encite, Inc., a Medical Software Business. Joann enjoyed working with children. She loved spending time with her family and was extremely fond of her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Mausoleum.
