Ann M. Haluska

Haluska – Ann M., 90, Richland, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2021. She was born on January 24, 1931 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late John and Anna (Fignar) Gagan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John P. Haluska Jr., brothers, Joe and John; sister; Mary Munko. Survived by her loving children, J. Reid, married to the former Cathy Dayton, Geistown, Gordy, Richland, Mark, married to the former Sherry Rigo, Roxbury, and Maryann, wife of Jim Napier, Naples, FL.  Grandchildren, Steve Haluska, Amy, wife of Michael Toth, Garrett Haluska, Courtney, wife of Jason Kylor, Paige Haluska and her fiancé, Eli Heider, Sally and Michael Haluska; great grandchildren, Celia and Sutton Toth, and Graham Kylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was a 1949 graduate of Ferndale High School. She was employed at Sears and J.C. Penney Department Stores. Ann was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown and its Senior Choir. She and her late husband, along with the choir sang for Pope St. John Paul II in March 1993. Ann was a member of a Wednesday Night Women’s Bowling League. She enjoyed her monthly women’s card club, as well as cooking and baking. Ann’s family would like to thank all the employees at Senior Life for their loving care. She more than anything loved spending time with her family. Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Private viewing will be held at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private committal will be at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Family suggests for those who wish to donate to St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, 2306 Bedford St., Johnstown, PA 15904, in Memory of Ann.
