Lynch – Alexander M., 94, Richland, formerly of East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2019 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on December 12, 1924 in New Florence, PA, son of James and Myrtle (Robinson) Lynch. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy C. (Aurandt) Lynch; siblings, Jean Simpson and John Lynch. He is survived by his loving children, Barbara J. (Glenn) Miller, Ebensburg, Robert K. (Carolyn) Lynch, Richland, Dr. William Bryan Lynch, Evansville, IN, and Deanne R. (Max) Gerber, Kidron, OH; grandchildren, Nathan, Dr. Eric, Matthew, Justin, Ian, Caleb, Margaret “Maggie”, and Andrew; great grandchildren, Ellis, Owen, Callan, Samuel, Vincent, Mark, Lucas, Rory, and 1 great grandson to arrive in June; sister, Marjorie Lynch, Richland, and several nieces and nephews. Alex was a graduate of New Florence High School. He was a former member of Vinco Brethren Church and a current member of Belmont United Methodist Church. Alex was also an active member of The Gideons International. He was a hard-working individual since childhood, working on his father’s dairy farm. Alex was employed by Sealtest Foods Inc. as a salesman; delivered ice cream as an independent contractor, and later retired as a truck driver for E. L. Jones. After retirement, he did maintenance work at College Park Plaza, Richland, and BGS&G Insurance, Johnstown. Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports on TV, and playing his accordion and harmonica. He loved all animals, especially dogs. Alex enjoyed boasting about his family, especially his grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Monday (April 22) and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (April 23) at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Jean Smith officiating. Private burial will be at West Fairfield Cemetery, New Florence, PA. The family suggests contributions be directed to either Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904; AseraCare Hospice, 100 CTC Dr #110, Johnstown, PA 15904, or The Gideons International, P.O.
