Kniss – William H., 87, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 22, 2021 at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born on October 3, 1933 in Johnstown, son of Ralph H. and Laura B. (Rummell) Kniss. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Betty J. (Mack) Kniss. He is survived by his loving son Rodney W., married to Dianne (Paul), Johnstown; and loving daughter, Darlene J. (Dave) Wilburn, Allen, Texas. Grandchildren, Heather, wife of Paul Cassidy, Travis (Amelia) Kniss, Brent, Isaac, and Jacob Wilburn; great grandson, Dylan Cassidy; brother, Melvin (Donna) Kniss; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a 1951 graduate of Westmont High School. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 31 years of service as an Inspector. After retirement he and his wife, Betty moved to Williamsburg, VA, where Bill was employed for 25 years at Williamsburg Landing in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren. Bill enjoyed fishing and traveling in his motor home throughout the United States. He loved gardening, bird watching and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 1 pm until 2 pm time of service Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor Jean Smith, officiating.
