Obituary

Ronald W. Repak, 70, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, suddenly and unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2021 while at his home in Stonycreek Township. Born in August, 1951, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, son of Paul Repak and Stella (Zucco) Repak. Preceded in death by his Parents, Paul and Stella Repak, his brother Robert Repak, and his Father in-law, Nicholas Giallonardo. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda (Giallonardo) Repak; his children, Michael Naglic and, his wife, Tonya, Ronnie Repak and his wife, Jodi, Julie Schmidt and her husband, Chad; his grandchildren, Chelsea Felus and her husband, Brandon, Nicholas Naglic, Adalyn, Ares, Remington, Presley, Reid and soon to be great grandchild.  He is survived by his Mother in-law, Mary Giallonardo, his sister, Denise and her husband, Jim Fornof, his brother, Paul J. Repak, his brother, Edward and his wife, Judy Repak, his sister, Tina and her husband, Tony Mirilovich, his brother and sister in-laws, Mike and Rosemary Valko, Toni and Tim Clark, and multiple loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron was a graduate of Greater Johnstown School District, class of 1970 where he played football and ran track for the school.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Duquesne University and was a member of Alpha Phi Delta fraternity. Ron loved and was devoted to the City of Johnstown. He served as the Director of the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority for 30+ years where he ushered in multiple economic development projects for the City. He recently served as a consultant for ABD Construction where he was given an opportunity to continue his passion of grant writing.  He served on multiple boards and charitable committees, including, but not limited to, the Bottleworks, American Red Cross, and was recognized by the elected civic and business leaders as a top municipal leader.  He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. An average golfer and an avid fisher, he loved doing both with his children, friends and neighbors. Beach trips to Myrtle with all 35 family members under one roof are stories we will continue to tell.  Ron was quick witted and thrived on telling and playing jokes with his friends and family.  His humor will be greatly missed.  He was a devoted Father who, for his 70th Birthday, was given the opportunity to spend an intimate weekend at Deep Creek Lake for much needed time with his family.  Beating his son in cornhole will certainly never be forgotten by his family. Those final days will be remembered and cherished forever.  Friends will be received from Noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 19 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm at St. Benedict Church, on Saturday, November 20th, 2021, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Mausoleum. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
