Yingling - Charles M. “Mick”, 87, of East Taylor Twp. Died on April 2, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born July 25, 1932, in Conemaugh. Son of the late Leo Roy and Gertrude (Troy) Wainwright-Yingling. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Zach Houlik; siblings, Russell (Gen) Wainwright, Jack (Dorothy) Wainwright, Robert (Betty Lou) Wainwright, Romayne (Maurice) Cooper, Louise (Michael) Cordetsky, William “Bill” (Wilda) Yingling, Edward “Bud” (Anna Marie) Yingling, George "Butch" (Joan) Yingling, Larry (Sandy) Yingling, Leo (Sandy) Yingling and Ronald “Ace” (Charlotte) Yingling. Survived by loving wife of 66 years, Erma M. (Grove); children, Michael (Debbie), Karen (Shane) Cruse, William (Lynn) and Jean Ann “Tootsie” (Jim) Houlik; grandchildren, Steve, Brian, Lee Ann, Tara, Katelyn, and Chaz; great grandchildren, Brenden, Gavin, Baily, Jaxson, Owen, Ashlyn, Taylor, Vaeda, Bowen, and Blayke. Brother of Kenneth (Joanne) Yingling, Joe (Clare) Yingling and Sandy Greeley. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mick was a decorated US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Also, served with 103rd Armor, Co. B, PA National Guard. He retired as a Crane Operator from Bethlehem Steel. Mick was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, Conemaugh; and Conemaugh-Franklin American Legion Post #633. He spent 40 years as coach for East Taylor- Jackson Little League Baseball; and coached Sacred Heart Football for 22 years; and Conemaugh Valley Middle School Football for 14 years. Mick was an avid bowler in Thursday Seniors League at Richland. He enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates, as well as trips to the casinos and Monday night poker. Due to current health conditions, there will be no public viewing. A private funeral service will be held at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Private entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum. A celebration of life will be held at a later date as well a Memorial Mass at the Church of the Transfiguration.
