REAM—Barbara Louise (Owens), 78, Elton, went to be with Jesus on July 8, 2019, at Windber Woods. Born October 29, 1940, in St. Michael, PA, daughter of the late David I. and Evelyn G. (Fyfe) Owens. Survived by loving and devoted husband of 59 years, John D. Ream, Elton; son, John Ream (Karen), Richland; daughter, Jill Ream, St. Michael; granddaughter, Amanda Jodon (Dave), Ogletown; and great-granddaughter, Addyson Jodon. Also survived by aunt, Betty McGowen and special friends, Cristi Kimmel, Monica Neri, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Michael United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for 60 years. She also served as Church Treasurer, Sunday School Secretary and Teacher, and was a member of Ladies Aid and Ladies Fellowship. She retired from Sears in 1997 after 37 years of service. Member of Anna L. Windolph Chapter #495 and Past Worthy Matron of the former Windber Chapter #143 Order of the Eastern Star. Member of Order of Beauceant, Jeannette Court #25 and Past Royal Matron of Cambria Court #26, Order of Amaranth. Honored as Companion of the Temple by Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of USA. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, music and word puzzles. The family would like to thank her many home-health caregivers, the staff of Windber Woods and Interim Healthcare Hospice and Palliative Care. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where an Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Friends also received from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Michael UM Church, with Rev. David Butler Officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
