
Norman Gochnour
Gochnour, Norman W., “Goch”, 69, of Cambria City, passed away on February 9, 2010 at Altoona Regional Hospital. Born April 16, 1940, in South Fork, son of Norman P. and Margaret (Graffius) Gochnour. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Marilyn Ann. Survived by daughter, Joy Braley of Ashtabula, OH; son, Butch Gochnour, Bradford, OH; five grandchildren; three great granddaughters; brother Jay (wife, Charlotte) Newark, DE; and by best friends, Mike and Mary Muchesko of Brownstown. Goch was a member of the last graduating class (1958) of South Fork-Croyle High School. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in both Korea and Germany. Goch retired as a construction foreman working in Santa Barbara, CA. He enjoyed flying so much that he received his pilot license, while in CA, and at one time even owned his own plane. At Goch’s request there will be no public viewing. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family at South Fork Cemetery, with the Rev. Ray Streets, Jr. or Rev, Gary Tustin officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
